I graduated with my bachelors in Global History from American Military University and have worked in the education field since 2019. I also have my certification from the North American Montessori Center specializing with Lower Elementary, ages 6-9. I started at the Montessori School of Cleveland in 2021.
WHY I BELIEVE IN MONTESSORI
The beauty of Montessori is that it encourages independence in children allowing them to build self confidence in their own abilities even as infants. It is so wonderful getting to see each child learn and build confidence in themselves each day.

My birthday is October 18.
I am an avid reader and a married mother of 2 children.
PHILLIP LEWIS

EDUCATION
I received my Bachelor’s of Science in elementary education from Lee University. Prior to coming to the Montessori School of Cleveland, I taught for 12 years in Hamilton County Schools.
WHY I BELIEVE IN MONTESSORI
I believe in Montessori because it allows for true individualization for each student. Every child is able to get what they need. The focus on the whole child, not just academics, is another reason I was drawn to the Montessori approach. I believe in the community that Montessori promotes.
ABOUT ME
My birthday is August 28.
I enjoy spending time with my wife and 2 daughters, football, and reading.
MARK SNYDER
UPPER ELEMENTARY TEACHER
EDUCATION
I earned my bachelor’s of arts in English Language and Literature and am completing a Montessori certification in Upper Elementary through the North American Montessori Center. I have been a part of The Montessori School of Cleveland since 2019.
WHY I BELIEVE IN MONTESSORI
Our unique style of education encourages self-motivation, inner-discipline and critical thinking, which are very important skills to have in the adult world. I want to devote myself to something that matters as much as this: that every student not only has knowledge, but also understands how to use it.
ABOUT ME
My birthday is on June 17.
My hobbies include disc golf, tennis, hiking, and spending time with my wife and children.

I attended Cleveland State Community College with a focus on education. I have been with Montessori of Cleveland since 2018.

I love Montessori because it provides children with the tools to succeed independently and grow into their own unique selves.
ABOUT ME
I am the head coach of our own Montessori Girls on the Run team. I enjoy playing outside, books and art.
